Pickup

Pallet pickup and on-site sorting

We collect pallets from your dock or lot and sort the pile on the spot: reusable, repairable, scrap, and rental pallets that belong to someone else. Your own pallets leave with us; the rental ones are stacked for their owner.

What happens at the dock?

The crew grades the whole pile before loading anything. Each pallet goes into one of four stacks:

StackWhat goes in itThen
ReuseSound white-wood pallets in standard sizesBought and loaded
RepairWhite-wood pallets with an intact frame and a broken board or twoBought and loaded
ScrapBroken, rotten, odd-sized pallets and loose dunnageLoaded for recycling
RentalPainted or stenciled pool pallets, and any pallet marked with another company's nameLeft stacked on site for the owner's collection

The rental stack stays because it isn't ours or yours to move on. We hand you the owner's official collection link from the return-channel directory, and the stack is counted and ready when their truck comes.

Which truck does a pile need?

It depends on how many pallets we'd take away, not the rental ones. Rough planning numbers for empty 48 × 40 in. pallets:

Pallets to haulVehicleBasis
Up to about 30Pickup truck or small trailerTwo stacks of 15, loaded by hand
About 30 to 18024 to 26 ft box truckRoughly 12 floor stacks of 15
About 180 to 52053 ft trailer26 pallet footprints, two across, stacked about 20 high by forklift
More than 520Several trailers, or a scheduled programSee the return program

Broken pallets stack badly, so the pile planner counts each as one and a half. We confirm the vehicle in our reply.

What helps on the day

  • A clear path from the pile to where a truck can park. Tell us about height limits, gates and narrow alleys.
  • A forklift and someone to drive it, if you have one. Without one, plan for stacks of 15 or less.
  • Your dock hours, and any check-in or safety rules for visiting crews.
  • Rental pallets already set apart, if you can. If not, sorting them out is part of the job.
